Michele McGrath wins Marketing Academy Award for Mentorship

We are delighted to announce that Brand Learning’s Chief Operating Officer, Michele McGrath, was awarded an ‘Academy Award for Mentorship’ at last night’s (Monday 13th May) annual Marketing Academy Scholarship ‘End of Year Ceremony’. Scholars select just one person from the many mentors and speakers they meet during the programme to receive a ‘Merlin’. The Marketing Academy describe it as a way of appreciating the individual from whom the Scholar received that extra special gift of wisdom, advice, insight & inspiration. The evening, held at Emirates Stadium in North London, was attended by over 200 ‘up and coming’ and senior marketers and was an opportunity for the Academy and Faculty Partners to say farewell to the class of 2012/13 and unveil the new scholars for 2013/14.

Academy founder, Sherilyn Shackell, dedicated to inspiring and developing the talented stars of today to become the leaders of tomorrow, says of the honour: “Here at The Marketing Academy we’re thrilled but not surprised that Michele McGrath from Brand Learning won one of our coveted Merlin Awards.  She is an incredibly popular mentor and her insights and wisdom have really resonated with our Scholars.  We consider ourselves very lucky that she donates so much of her time both personally and through Brand Learning to our scholarship programme.”
